Brake Linings
In Stock
Brake linings for drum brake systems across passenger, commercial and heavy duty vehicles.
Brake linings from KBC are manufactured in South Africa for drum brake systems across passenger, commercial, heavy duty, agricultural and industrial vehicles. We have been producing replacement friction components since 2001, and we supply the trade nationally and across the SADC region.
Brake linings for every drum brake application
A drum brake is only as good as the friction material pressed against it. Our linings are formulated for consistent stopping power, predictable wear and long service life under the load and heat that Southern African operating conditions put through them.
Typical applications include:
- Passenger cars and light commercial bakkies
- Trucks, buses and long haul commercial fleets
- Tractors and agricultural machinery
- Industrial and mining drum brake systems
- Winches, cranes and hoists

Not sure which part you need?
Send us a photograph or the dimensions and we will identify the exact part for you. It is a free service we have run for years, and it is the fastest way to get the right component when the old part has no legible markings left on it. Get in touch or send the details through and we will come back to you.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between brake linings and brake pads?
Linings are the friction material used in drum brake systems and are riveted or bonded onto a brake shoe. Brake pads are used in disc brake systems and clamp onto a rotor. Many vehicles run discs on the front and drums on the rear, so you may need both.
Can I buy lining material and cut it myself?
Yes. We supply roll lining and friction flat sheets in raw form, ready to be cut and drilled for custom or hard to source applications.
Do you supply relined brake shoes ready to fit?
We do. See our brake shoes, supplied relined and ready to fit.
